Pregnancy & Maternity coaching - is it for me?

“I wish I had known about you when I was pregnant!” - literally every mum I speak to!

If you are pregnant or a working mum then I will help you to build a successful career and work/life balance during pregnancy and beyond. With extensive HR, coaching and wellbeing expertise, as well as being a Mum; I use my professional & personal experiences to support women to have a safe & happy pregnancy, fully enjoy their maternity leave and return to the workplace or a new career with confidence!

You can sign up for coaching at any time, whether you are newly pregnant or are a mum of an older child wanting to return to work. The sessions are tailored for the stage you are at.

My coaching covers all the essential aspects of pregnancy, maternity leave, and returning to work and much more. Our coaching helps mums to be, new mums and those returning to work after maternity to get informed and prepared for their next stage in their motherhood journey.

In creating this new mum and parent coaching I've spoken to dozens of women and the majority have shared that having someone to confide in during this period would have made a significant difference. It would have empowered them to address any inappropriate behaviour at work, share concerns in confidence, validate their thoughts and feelings, or simply provide a safe place to speak openly and honestly with a trusted, impartial individual.

As well as offering new parents the practical tips and guidance they need, it also seeks to reduce loneliness and increase a feeling of solidarity in new mums, especially in that first year.

Coaching for new and expectant mums will help you to enjoy your pregnancy, prepare and enjoy your maternity leave and return from leave feeling confident. We will work with you to ensure that all the practicalities of pregnancy, birth and having a new baby are covered whilst coaching you on ways to protect your emotional, mental, and physical health.

The coaching will also support new mums to understand the realities of having a new baby and maternity leave so that you can be prepared, flexible and shake of the expectations of others and do it your way.

THE COACHING INCLUDES -

  • Knowing Your Rights: Maternity pay and leave, safety at work, medical appointments, sickness absence, keeping in touch (KIT) days, communication during leave, redundancy, holiday, leave options and employer policies. Also understanding pregnancy discrimination and what you can do should it happen

  • Preparing to Leave Work: Ensuring smooth transition with support, handover, communication, completing tasks, and managing workload.

  • Emotional Support: Coping strategies for discomfort, lack of sleep, guilt, stress, and anxiety during the different phases of pregnancy and motherhood.

  • Avoiding Burnout: Techniques to maintain emotional and physical well-being during pregnancy, leave, and return to work.

  • Making the Most of Maternity and Parental Leave: Planning activities, building social connections, self-care, and setting boundaries for visitors.

  • Flexibility and Support: Acknowledging the unpredictability of being a mum and knowing how and when to ask for support.

  • Returning to Work: Exploring new job or career options, flexible working arrangements, starting your own business, financial considerations, and childcare.

  • Fourth Trimester: Having a baby is a HUGE deal both emotionally and physically. We will discuss prioritising self-care, seeking emotional or medical support, and making the most of this precious and fleeting time.

  • Offer a supportive, confidential, and non-judgmental chat – Many women I've consulted with express the importance of having a confidant during this time. Such support could empower them to address misconduct, share concerns privately, validate their emotions, or simply have a safe space for open and honest conversation with a trustworthy, unbiased person.

  • Anything else you need! These new parent and maternity coaching sessions are completely personalised to you, it is your time, and we work to your goals and individual needs.
